In a controlled and gradual way. This is how interested startups will use Portugal as a Gateway. With our program, Softlanding, they will have access to 500 million European high-income consumers. In this program, we help startups and companies with a small investment to enter the European Union.
We provide support to structure access to finance and build the appropriate processes according to the specific capital, skills, and processes needed of startups and companies, helping them scale sustainably.
Target
The Softlanding programs are aimed at anyone interested in using Portugal as a gateway to the European market. The Immersion Softlanding programs are ready-to-go Internationalization programs, lasting from 1 up to 3 months, or bootcamps of 1 up to 2 weeks.
Our programs are very flexible and will give you everything you need to get a first hand of the European markets. With access to mentoring, workshops, lectures, coworking, product market-fit, applying for support and more, the Immersion help startups prepare for internationalization in Europe.

From 1 up to 3 months, this Immersion Program is focused on Product-Market Fit (Check-list Validation) and PEST risk assessment. It also includes RoadMap development, lead generation, Potential Customers Visits, business roundtables, mentoring, and coworking access. And much more!
In addition, you can also apply for Financing support such as the Startup Voucher and ATIVAR.
1 – 2 Weeks
With a duration from 1 up to 2 weeks, you can gain access to the local ecosystem and thus a first glimpse of the market. It focuses on the organization of bootcamps, immersion missions, as well as participation in exhibition fairs. During these immersion weeks in Portugal, you can count on networking, mentoring, and visits to the ecosystem.
Startup Voucher + ATIVAR
STARTUP VOUCHERS
These Vouchers will be used to support startups that have or intend to develop digital business models with a strong emphasis on the circular economy, encouraging the transition to a greener economy. The Vouchers can also be used to purchase incubation, acceleration or consulting services. Startups will have access to €30,000 in Innovation Vouchers.

The ATIVAR program developed by IEFP is aimed at professional training, professional internships and enhanced support for hiring and entrepreneurship. This program helps with the hiring of local talent by covering 95% of the salary costs. Including qualified professionals with bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees.
